ATIV SE nebyl zrovna kdovíjak utajovaným telefonem, zatím ale kromě informace o Full HD 5″ displeji nebylo o dalších údajích slyšet. Zdroje, obeznámené se situací prozradily serveru The Verge hardwarové specifikace, které se zdají být velmi povědomé. Pokud jsou zprávy pravdivé, ATIV SE bude jen vylepšenou variantou Galaxy S 4 s implantovaným Microsoftím systémem — stejný bude procesor Snapdragon 800, 13-megapixelový fotoaparát, 2 GB RAM a 16 GB úložného prostoru. Tyhle parametry pořád znamenají vcelku výkonné zařízení, nicméně naznačují, že Samsung opět recykluje starší Androidí zařízení. Telefon by měl být v prodeji již brzy – v americké síti Verizon by se měl objevit už v průběhu dubna. Bude tak přímo konkurovat (s výjimkou Windows Phone 8.1) Lumii Icon od Nokie.

Google does its part to celebrate the major US holidays, not to mention quite a few others, but April Fools‘ Day appears to be its favorite. The company goes all out every year, and it’s already looking like 2014 may just be its very best effort yet. In addition to scattering Pokemon all over Maps, Google is now dispersing emoji all throughout Chrome.
The feature is optional, but once enabled, Chrome will replace certain words with emoji.

Chromecast apps are popping up almost faster than we can install them, but let’s not forget one of the first apps to show us what the Chromecast was capable of doing. Of course, I’m talking about AllCast. Koush’s streaming app has been updated with a few goodies, some of which are still listed as ‚beta.‘
Here’s the full changelog from the new 1.0.9.0 build.
- BETA: Subtitle support for Chromecast when streaming from a media server (ie, Serviio with srt files)
- BETA: Stream from Dropbox (requires Dropbox app to be installed)
- Chromecast letterbox is now black instead of grey
- Roku playback fixes: now supports fast forward and rewind.
