Google Photos for Android now works with Chromecast

Sitting your family down for a TV viewing of your entire smartphone camera roll just got easier; Google has updated its Google Photos app to support Chromecast. The company announced that it would introduce compatibility between the photos service and Google’s popular $35 streaming stick (newly refreshed with new features) at this week’s Nexus event. The latest Google Photos update also allows you to label people in your photos with custom names.

Microsoft connects Cortana and LinkedIn together for Windows 10

Microsoft is now starting to integrate third-party services directly into Cortana. While the software maker has allowed developers to extend the functionality of Cortana to their own apps for a number of months now, a new LinkedIn partnership sees the services move closer together. If you use Cortana for Windows 10 you can now connect your LinkedIn account to Cortana to access more information about contacts and their photos from LinkedIn.
