GoPro plans software that wirelessly syncs videos to the cloud

GoPro is testing software that could remove the need for you to fiddle with USB cables or SD cards when it’s time to cut your video footage. On stage tonight at Code Conference, CEO Nick Woodman (above) said that the planned software would wirelessly upload footage to the cloud, which suggests the company could also develop an online data service to provide storage.

The software is said to be in the alpha stage at present, however, meaning it may be some way off; no other information is available right now. Woodman also used his Code Conference appearance to announce the first details of a quadcopter and a VR-focused spherical camera mount.
