The New York Times is a brand recognized around the world, and now the Android app is equipped to service readers who reside out of the US. The international edition of the paper is now selectable in the app settings.
This will alter the content that readers are presented when they first sign into the app. Since there’s no reason to burden everyone with some of the more local and/or mundane aspects of living in the US, international readers get a focus on geo-political news, international business, sports, and other things that people living overseas or across the border still care about.
